The Shelter to Soldier team adopted Lucky from the Bonita Animal Shelter the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Logomark!
Lucky joined us as a young, energetic pup with tons of potential. However, not long after his adoption, he suffered injuries to both his left and right CCLs, requiring surgery and a long recovery period. The downtime meant he missed crucial training windows for our service dog program, and after careful consideration, we made the decision to shift his path.
Due to his special needs, Lucky was placed in a loving home with Laura—a close friend of his trainer, Kayla. It turned out to be the perfect fit. Lucky is now living his best life as a cherished pet, spending his days snuggling with his family and joyfully romping around the backyard.
While his journey didn’t follow the original plan, it led to the happiest ending of all. We’re thrilled to see Lucky thriving in a home filled with love!
