Hi! I’m Carlie! I’m a 1.5 year old labrador retriever mix the Shelter to Soldier team adopted from Labs & More under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Dr. Fred & Kim Pike!

I’ve been recently matched with USMC veteran, Autumn, and we’re already having so much fun together in our lessons! We’re bonding through chasing games, treat catching, and of course cuddles. I can’t wait to fly through the program with my new mom!

Hi! I’m Poocha Nacua! My name is inspired by the LA Rams wide receiver, Puka Nacua! I’m a 1 year old chocolate Labrador the Shelter to Soldier team adopted as an owner surrender under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of the LA Rams. I am the second dog they’ve sponsored! According to my wonderful trainer, Kayla, I am the epitome of a young happy lab. I love to prance around and love snacks during my training sessions, My food drive makes it easy to train and my toy drive makes me super fun to play with. I absolutely love life with my US Army veteran, Brandon, and I can’t wait to be a successful service dog for him!

Koa + Kelley

Hi! I’m Koa! I’m a 1 year old pitbull the Shelter to Soldier team adopted as an owner surrender, under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Jolie Budau! Just last week, I was lovingly matched with my new best friend, USMC Veteran, Kelley. From the moment we met, I knew I was meant to be his service dog, and we’ve already formed a strong bond! Kelley was impressed by my cool tricks, like spinning and shaking paws, and I’m already learning to heel right by his side. After our training sessions and playtime, there’s nothing I love more than cuddling up next to him. I know our time together in this program will fly by, and I can’t wait for all the adventures ahead!

Hi! I’m Hamburger aka Hammy! I’m a 1.5 year old Labrador the Shelter to Soldier team adopted from of course, Labs & More, under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of an anonymous donor! As any lab would, I love to play with water and my trainer says I should have been a fish. Some of my favorite things are belly rubs and cheese. I love saying ‘hi’ to everyone I see! I’m very smart and I’ve already picked up on basic commands. Luckily for me, I’ve been recently matched with United States Navy Veteran, Belinda! We’re in phase one of our training so we’re building our bond with recall games, playing chase, and catch. We make a great team!

I have boundless energy and eagerly anticipate playtime. My favorite activities include chasing after a ball and engaging in lively games of tag with my trainer, Dawn. Beyond my playful nature, I exude a warm and sociable demeanor. I have a heart as expansive as my enthusiasm! I’m a very sweet and well-mannered gal with a good understanding of basic obedience. I’m VERY spunky and I love to play with EVERYTHING. Hi! I’m Goose! a 4 year old Weimaraner the Shelter to Soldier team adopted from Wags & Walks under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Keeping Finn. I’ve officially been matched with USMC veteran, Ricardo! We’ve recently passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test and have moved onto phase 2 of the program. I’m looking forward to applying all my sharp task cues to the test!

Hi! I’m Max! I’m estimated to be a 9 month old lab mix the Shelter to Soldier team adopted from our friends at Wags & Walks, under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Logomark! I’m a playful and smart young pup. I love to show off my skills through obedience in the short amount of time I’ve been at Shelter to Solider. This lead me to match with USN veteran, Shaneka! She served as a hospital corpsman for 8 years, has a Bachelors in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and is now pursuing her Masters in Education and School Counseling with a PPS Credential! Together, we’ll fly through the program in no time.

Hi! I’m Lucky! I’m a 2 year old Labrador Retriever Mix the Shelter to Soldier team adopted from the Bonita Animal Shelter under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Logomark.

I’ve been officially match with US Army veteran, Alex! We are making big strides together and have already passed the Canine Good Citizen test which means we get to go train in more places! So far, we’re working on my obedience commands at a park. Once we’re done working together, we like to relax by taking a walk around and finishing off with some fetch!
