The Shelter to Soldier team adopted Wagner from of course, Labs & More, under the generous Red Star Sponsorship of Subaru! From the beginning, our training team knew he’d be an amazing candidate for our service dog program given his tall stature. He truly is the perfect fit for USMC veteran, Jessica.
Jessica has had large dogs in the past and had always felt less anxious with them by her side. When she joined our program, she had high hopes that a service dog would encourage her to go on walks, run errands, visit new places, and do more with her young children. Wagner is just who she needed! The team flew right through our program with the guidance from their trainer, Shelby, and his presence alone has helped her feel comfortable going out in public.
Thank you so much, Big FM, for supporting the Dog Tales partnership and delivering messages of hope to veterans through the radio waves every Friday by showcasing Wagner’s journey and advocating for our mission!
We’re so proud of this team and we are thrilled to experience their journey amongst family and friends on June 22nd, 2024!
