The Shelter to Soldier team adopted Jupiter from our friends at Thrive Animal Rescue under the generous red star sponsorship of Dempsey Construction!
When our team first met Jupiter, we immediately fell in love with his playful personality and boundless enthusiasm, especially when it came to treats. We knew right away he had the potential to bring joy and comfort to a veteran in need.
After several months of training and evaluation in our program, our team recognized that Jupiter’s temperament was better suited for life as an emotional support animal rather than a service dog. That’s where his true purpose began to shine!
From the moment Jupiter met his veteran, it was clear they were meant for each other. With his dad’s strong handling skills and Jupiter’s eagerness to please, the pair quickly bonded and successfully passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen test after just a few lessons at the Wings of Freedom Campus.
Since going home, Jupiter has been thriving in his new routine and enjoying plenty of sunny days with his new best friend by his side.
