Shelby Burdette

Dog Trainer

Shelby began her career as a dog walker/pet sitter for a dog walking company in San Diego and gained experience as a volunteer at the San Diego Humane Society. She has worked around and raised livestock for her FFA program in high school and during college where she found her interest in animal behavior. After graduating college in 2021 with a B.S. in Animal Science at Chico State, she continued her passion for animal behavior as a dog trainer. She has a natural ability to connect with the dogs and their handlers to ensure a positive learning environment. Her passion and desire to understand training from the dog’s point of view is what helps her thrive as a trainer and dog lover. She specializes in advanced off leash obedience and engagement/bonding. Shelby has received her Basic & Advanced On-Leash Obedience Certification and her Master of Obedience Certification through Dustin Winn (NC Canine Training), and is an official Canine Good Citizen Evaluator (STAR Puppy/CGC/CGCU/CGCC).
