Dog Trainer

Lisa is a pure joy to be around, and a favorite among our service dogs in training for her love and cuddles. Lisa Johnson has volunteered with Shelter to Soldier™ since we began in 2012. Though her very busy career is in Computer Science, Lisa undertook the major commitment of completing her certification as a Dog Trainer through Animal Behavior College under the mentorship of Graham Bloem, Shelter to Soldier™ Founder. She is a volunteer dog handler for Shelter to Soldier™, and is a huge help to our team for each and every event we take on. Lisa is a Shelter to Soldier™ certified pet therapy team member with her own dog, Bruno, and she also enjoys taking him on independent visits to elementary schools, university stress weeks, nursing homes, and educational summer events. Lisa loves to see the progress of both the dogs and their matched veterans. Volunteering allows her to embark on a journey with each and every dog. The outcome is just the icing on the cake!
