Kennel Manager

Lauree was born in Oceanside, moved away as a young child, and has returned “home.” She has a BA in Kinesiology and Physical Education. After teaching middle school for more than 20 years, she recently retired, and is fulfilling her lifelong dream of working with dogs. She has a passion for the rescue community, has volunteered in shelters, and in hurricane relief situations. She has had several rescue dogs in her own pack over the years. She was raised in a military family and has a deep love and respect for all who have served. She has attended professional conferences on PTSD, TBI, shelter dogs becoming trained service dogs, and knew that her next career had to be working with the amazing team at Shelter to Soldier. When Lauree is not working she enjoys everything outdoors with her husband Dan and their current rescue Hamilton. She loves camping, riding her motorcycle, swimming, and spending time with her family.
