Lead Animal Care Attendant

Felixx, the Closing Lead ACA, is a proud USMC “brat” from Jacksonville, North Carolina. His father served in the Marine Corps for 20 years, with California being his final station. Growing up, dogs were always part of the family, and that love for dogs has continued into Felixx’s adult life. Currently, he’s the proud owner of two dogs: Bailey, a Siberian Husky, and Edison, a deaf Samoyed rescue.

In June 2023, Felixx was excited to join Shelter to Soldier when the opportunity arose—something he’d been eager to do for years, given his passion for working with dogs. What he enjoys most about his role is forming meaningful connections with the trainees and helping them grow as they work toward finding their perfect match with a veteran.

Outside of work, Felixx enjoys a variety of hobbies, including attending concerts, playing guitar, reading, spending time with Bailey and Edison, watching movies, or enjoying a day at the range.
