Carissa Rodriguez

Lead Animal Care Attendant

Carissa, a native of Oceanside, serves as one of our Lead Animal Care Attendants at Shelter to Soldier. With a lifelong passion for animals, she is deeply committed to working with our STS trainees each week. Outside of her role at Shelter to Soldier, Carissa enjoys running, spending quality time with friends and family, and perfecting her hair and makeup skills.

What she loves most about her work at Shelter to Soldier is the special bond she forms with the trainees and witnessing their remarkable growth throughout the program. Carissa is constantly inspired by the opportunity to help rescue dogs find their forever homes and feels truly honored to contribute to such a meaningful mission.
