Andres stands as an integral part of the Shelter to Soldier team, demonstrating unwavering commitment for over 7 years. His journey began at our sister company, Specialty Dog Training, where he developed a profound interest in training and behavior. Through dedication, hands-on experience, numerous handling hours, and participation in seminars, Andres evolved into a highly valued and talented Dog Trainer and we’re so glad he found his home with us. His passion for canine companions is evident in the countless hours he spends with the dogs, reveling in their innate curiosity about life and the world around them.

Having dedicated himself to the art of dog training, Andres specializes in foundational training methods that lay the groundwork for a strong and positive relationship between dogs and their families. His approach is rooted in patience, understanding, and a genuine love for every canine companion.

But perhaps nothing speaks more to Andres’s heart than his story with Angus. When it became clear that Angus’s high level of care due to his allergies would make finding the right placement a challenge, Andres didn’t hesitate — he welcomed Angus into his home and made him part of his family. Determined to give Angus a purpose as big as his personality, Andres trained him as a therapy dog and welcomed him onto our Canine Ambassador team. Now the two of them volunteer their time together, spreading the mission and sharing the boundless love Angus has to offer, one wag at a time.
