This summer, the San Diego County Library and County of San Diego Animal Services has chosen Shelter to Soldier™ to be the beneficiary of their Summer Reading Program, “Read for the Win!” For every kid, teen, or adult who reads a total of 20 hours or 20 books, $5 will be donated to Shelter to Soldier™ in the way of welcome kits for new adoptions who begin our service dog training program for post-9/11 combat veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress (PTS), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and other injuries associated with combat. Please join us on Wednesday, June 1st at 3:30 pm at the NEW Alpine Library 1752 Alpine Blvd to kickoff this exciting program that will run from June 1st to August 31st!
