On Saturday, August 3rd, supporters of Shelter to Soldier are invited to join us at our finish line event welcoming Roy Weigand, an ultra-distance runner from Los Angeles who will be running 100 miles in 24 hours in support of Shelter to Soldier. Roy will begin his run on Friday, August 2nd at the Los Angeles Rams Training Camp “Everyday Heroes” practice honoring military, first responders and their families at UC Irvine Crawford Field at 1:00 pm (Click here to learn more).

Roy will journey throughout Orange County, stopping by our supporters Marriott Irvine Spectrum and Raising Canes (off of El Toro) where cheer squads will organize to share our mission and celebrate Roy en route!

Guests of the ticketed finish line event ($25 adult, $15 child) will enjoy live music by Joe Cardillo (and fun musical interaction for the kiddos), small bites, beer garden, family-fun activities, a free event t-shirt sponsored by Cox Communications, cheer materials to welcome Roy across the finish line, and meet some of our service dog trainees!
